What now? The attack on Helen Haines is tragic beyond belief and with all the talk about online hate, threats to kill and the security services saying they’re not surprised what’s next? Well we don’t need Albo trying to act like an uncool uncle and telling us to calm down. What we need is real leadership and unity over hate. The Albanese dirt file that was put together to discredit Helen Haines has become a talking point for the right. While it is unquestionably hypocritical of Albo to be out offering glowing reviews of Haines’s work given he was out to cut her down the fact remains hate and division remain issues we have to deal with. To stem the tide and to genuinely make a difference we need better economic management from the federal government that will take some of the tensions away. We don’t need more dirt files, we don’t need more criticism or hate we need real action that can benefit the country as a whole. Will we see that? Will we see a change in policy from Albo? Will the hate go away? No, sadly not much will change, this is the world we live in now and so it becomes even more important to not listen to the pack, to make our own decisions and to leave aside the hate.

Back on the state election campaign in Victoria Ben Carroll has been plastered across the media for not paying for petrol. Now it’s not something many of us actually forget to do, but this one is a mountain out of a mould hill. What is utter nonsense is Carroll’s plan to build 25,000 homes for first home buyers. This old chestnut of if we build it they will come is not a new ploy by Labor but every time they’ve played it it turns out to be utter rubbish and this one will be no different.

As Albo and state leaders push ahead with the roll out data centres across the country it appears they may have got ahead of themselves. The places these data centres are being built are often in built up areas where the residents aren’t too happy about the new technology on their door steps. It’s become such an issue that shares data centre operator NextDV have taken a dive in recent weeks. Could it be that Albo and Chalmers have again backed the wrong horse?

The Pauline Hanson cartoon that had a crack at Jacqui Lambie’s health concerns has been edited and re released but I’m sorry as much as one nation will get votes at the state election they’ve blown it. They could’ve been a new force for change but while they have thrown down the gauntlet to the majors they’ve backed the wrong people to really make a difference.
