COMMON SENSE/AUTHENTICITY/ACCOUNTABILITY
When was the last time you watched the nightly news and thought gees, that all seems fairly balanced and doesn’t focus on the sensational? Well probably not for a while, but how did our most popular media outlets get like this? Greed, power, government and ratings. Now ratings are important because they generate revenue, but are corporations now so devoid of actual humanity they back the rubbish we see on our screens?
It is true that a great portion of people get their news from social media nowadays and a lot of it is garbage, but what we aim to do is to give people honest, direct and common sense views and reports on issues that genuinely matter to the world we all live in.

A fictional look to 2026

Welcome to a fictitious and facetious look ahead for 2026…
2026 is going to be a year of joy, excitement, new beginnings and of conflicts fought for all the right reasons. A year in which common sense prevails and Australia returns to being the lucky country taking its place on the global stage as the number one tourist destination and a place to invest in. A country run by a government committed to excellence and one that encourages innovation, unity and pride…oh hang on that was the fairy tale version, here’s what we think will really happen.
Given the federal government barely have any kind of opposition Albo and his lot weather the storm of Bondi and decide to make the Koran the religious text of choice in the parliament and throughout the judicial system. The Greens call it a win for democracy, but the majority of Australians think it’s the final straw in the world of the woke and take to the streets to protest. However the protests are met with tear gas and rubber bullets because it’s deemed hate speech and goes against the government enforced narrative. Thousands of Australians are locked up in a new purpose built prison called Long Bondi Bay located in central Australia from where barely anyone ever returns.
With the threat of an uprising ever present the Albanese government outlaws all other political parties, except the Greens which forces One Nation into becoming the Australian resistance movement. While many decide to tow the party line Hanson joined by Jacinta Price and Andrew Hastie begin to cause havoc around the country with their resistance movement.
By mid year Christianity and Judaism are banned and the Koran taught in all schools across the country. Digital ID is now law and anyone without one is shipped off to Long Bondi Bay. Labor, now known as the National Prosperity Party encourages more and more people to work for the public service and as they do take over they abolish private enterprise.
Social media is now completely controlled by the NPP and migration numbers hit 2.5 million. Housing is no longer an issue because the government have deemed private ownership of property illegal so push migrant families into established housing throughout the country. Elections are banned and the government has developed the, report a mate campaign, by which a person or family can receive a free EV if they report someone they think is moving against the NPP.
However by November people have had enough of the NPP and stage a coup. New leaders emerge and there is a coming together of One Nation and the Make Australia Australia Again party. They have Andrew Hastie lead an SAS style take over storming into the parliament and arresting all members of the NPP.
They deport Albo to China, Penny Wong to the Middle East and the E Saftey commissioner to the US. Pauline Hanson becomes Prime Minister and Andrew Hastie her deputy. The MAAA restores the balance and power to the country and brings back some Aussie pride…but no one thought to ask where a certain ex Premier was and what he’d been up to during all this…a new resistance movement begins to form and who knows what 2027 will bring to Australia.

Hoodies was founded by Ben Logan at the height of the Covid crisis in reaction to blind government and bureaucratic incompetence in the handling of the crisis. It was and will never be about conspiracy theories rather it is about how are we holding government to account for the decisions they make. How are we offering common sense solutions to real world issues, how are we uniting rather than dividing and how are we offering authentic opinions not backed by corporate or government. The musings of Ben on LinkedIn lead to him starting the magazine Hoodies, hats and no BS, which became Hoodies and today is the multi media company Hoodies media.

Yes 100% we are! We want Hoodies media to be one of the biggest media organisations on the planet. We want to ultimately own newspapers, media outlets, publishing houses, online content producers…we want Hoodies media to be that voice of common sense and reason in an online landscape that is often full of garbage!
