Jason Arday dead
Jason Arday the former Cambridge University professor the man accused of plagiarism and for perhaps not being all he claimed to be has been found dead in his Battersea apartment in South London.
Arday had been hounded by the press recently over claims he had lied and wasn’t all he claimed, but while it appears some of the accusations were indeed true it raises questions about how the media can push those that are vulnerable to self harm and suicide.
Tomorrow in the Sunday Hoodies we look at how the media has serious questions to answer in its chase for eye balls and revenue.

Bendigo Barbie quits
Former premier of Victoria Jacinta Allan has announced she will not contest the November state election bringing to an end her over long political career.
Allan will now take up her lifetime pension courtesy of the Victorian tax payer and leaves behind her a string of projects and issues that will no doubt become talking points for decades to come.
Allan was the Daniel Andrews successor but with Ben Carroll now walking back on a lot of Allan had pushed ahead with you can’t help but suggest her legacy is somewhat tarnished.
There aren’t too many of the Andrews old guard left now but will the fresh blood be able to win Labor yet another term in Victoria? It remains to be seen but as the song goes, for now, another one bites the dust.

Johnny Young dies at 79
I don’t know about you but I watched Young Talent Time for a long time and to hear of the passing of its host Johnny Young is a sad day.
The great man has passed away at the age of 79 and we can only thank him for his ever smiling face, his kind words and support of young and up and coming talent, that included Tina Arena and Dani Minogue amongst many others
RIP Johnny Young.
4 Youths bailed after death
Four of the five youths implicated in the death of good samaratin, Van Viet Truong have been granted bail. In the wake of Mr Truong being pronounced dead you have to wonder where is any kind of justice in this state. Ben Carroll made a point of consoling Mr Truong’s family but for what? A photo opportunity? To show he’s not Dan or Allan?
The youths released on bail are young, 12 being the youngest but they are now allegedly involved in the death of a human being and are set free? Yes there is a duty of care for kids that young but a man is dead! When do we say enough death is enough? Or do we just say oh it’s ok they’re monitored in the community or that it’s bad for kids that young to be in jail?! Well when is the alleged assault and subsequent death of an innocent person ok?
Ben isn’t Dan or Allan, but he should hang his head in utter shame that these kids are free on bail.

Ben Carroll the model of Labor?
For the love of god!
Here’s a promise! Never! Ever! Everrrrrrrr! Will Hoodies Media or any of its associated brands ever offer politicians photo shoots and promotional articles! If you look at both the Herald Sun and the Age today both feature new Victorian Premier, Ben Carroll playing happy families and having nice photos on both papers.
How is this journalism? Yes we need to interview our political figures but they work for us! It is not the role of the media to help promote them and take pretty pictures of them! The media is there to hold them to account, to ask them hard questions not give them free hits and promotional content for their socials.
Carroll as he keeps saying is not Allan or Andrews but he’s just as bad because while he maybe didn’t make the calls Labor did in the past he was there for all of it. Instead of the media questioning him on his role in Labor decision making, which it must be said some outlets have done, the two main newspapers in the state have happy snaps of him in their Sunday editions. Piss off!
Carroll is desperate to be the person that rebuilds Labor but less than two weeks ago the party wasn’t suggesting there needed to be any kind of rebuild and now?
Seriously if the Libs can’t knock this lot off in November it’s time to call Pauline and say it’s all up to her.
