Hoodies Media — Editorial Charter
Who we are
Hoodies Media publishes The Hoodies Daily, six days a week — political and cultural commentary built on three principles: Common sense, authenticity, and accountability.
We cover politics and societal issues in Australia and around the world, plus we take culture just as seriously. A society that stops caring about art, music, and ideas is a society in decline — so alongside the politics and issues of real importance, you’ll find commentary on culture, because we don’t believe the two can be separated.
What we stand for
Common sense…
We aim to cut through spin and jargon and say plainly what’s actually going on — and what it means for the people reading us.
Authenticity…
We say what we think, we tell you when we’ve changed our mind, and we don’t pretend to a false neutrality we don’t feel. What we won’t do is misrepresent facts to make a point.
Accountability…
We hold public figures and institutions to their word and we hold ourselves to the same standard. If we get something wrong, we say so, clearly and without burying it.
How we work
The Hoodies Daily is published six days a week, with a Sunday edition. Every edition is written, edited, and published by me, Ben Logan, which means what you’re reading is a direct line to the people producing it, not a committee-smoothed version of it.
Independence
Hoodies Media is editorially independent. We accept advertising and sponsorship, but sponsors have no influence over editorial content or coverage decisions. Our only obligation is to our readers and ourselves
Contact & accountability
Questions, corrections, or complaints: We read everything that comes in, but we don’t read all the hate mail, it becomes fairly tedious and we block repeat offenders.
