Hello and welcome to the Hoodies daily…

I reckon by the time the Victorian Government election comes around Ben Carroll will be promising to hand out magic beans and unicorns to anyone that will vote for him. Sadly for Benny though polling released over the weekend is suggesting a blood bath for Labor with the Libs winning but needing support from One Nation to get anything through the Parliament. Now while One Nation getting seats will unquestionably rid Victoria of Labor it will put the state in the position of being beholden to a good slathering of nut bag conspiracy theorists. Is that good for democracy? Unlikely! But gees it’ll give us lots to write about!

Over the weekend Victorian One Nation leader, Warren Pickering gave another impassioned speech that demanded change and that said One Nation were the party to deliver it. It was sort of like it had been written by Ai. It said all the right things but did it have that kick to it? Not really, but at least Liberal Party reject Colleen Harkin was upfront in her press conference where she said One Nation has no plans to change anything to do with abortion, unlike Benny and now the Libs.

France, once the barometer of global mood is again rising as a voice of the world, not just against the left but also against the right and the entire political class. Students from across France have rioted against cost of living, unemployment and the wealth gap. Both sides of the political divide have blamed the other and some have taken it as an opportunity to blame migrants but while black Africans have been seen at the riots there are a lot of very upset French people involved as well.

The maddening crowds want Macron gone but he has no plans to resign just yet and went so far as to suggest the riots were caused by the right wing extremists. There’s no doubt that some of the rioters were just there to cause havoc, but increasing fuel prices, cost of living and the left’s determination to allow migrants to basically run amok is seeing Europe in general reach tipping point.

Are Jim and Albo about to break up?! Albo is definitely planning a reshuffle which means new characters for Pauline Hanson in her cartoon series, but could him be gone? It seems unlikely but who would’ve thought that bloody Albo would have ended up as PM?!
