I have zero interest in adding a gossip column to the Hoodies stable but how on earth does any man whack a woman? What kind of man tries to strangle a woman? And then, what kind of an organisation allows men convicted of domestic violence back into positions of influence? Sam Wood, who is apparently famous for being the bachelor and some health company has not been given bail based on his alleged domestic violence crimes. To be refused bail suggests things are worse than what the media is allowed to report but while everyone is entitled to the assumption of innocence things aren’t looking good for Sam. Before this whole thing goes go viral and the details emerge, if he is eventually found guilty, there are no excuses and no way back to public life, ever.
Oh One Nation what have you done? The campaign launch at Crown last week is going to come back to haunt the conspiracy theorist candidates and will unquestionably cost them seats in the November election. The big news out of the launch was the near hysterical announcement that should One Nation actually win Andrews and Allan would be arrested. While some of us think this isn’t a bad idea the idea of it is ludicrous. Both Ben Carroll and Jess Wilson yesterday came out and criticised One Nation for the threats to jail the two former premiers. While the Orange army weren’t terribly fussed about the criticisms they have undoubtedly lost some of the swinging voters. The swinging voters will now pass the threats off as delusional and for cheap political gain. A wasted opportunity for One Nation.
With One Nation now going completely rogue Ben Carroll saw the chance to ask Jess Wilson if she would do preference deals with the Orange army. Wilson has said before she wouldn’t do any kind of deal with One Nation so it’s an attempt at points scoring from Carroll but Carroll himself has said he’s not doing deals either. Asked if he’d do deals with the Greens to get into power Benny boy said? No deal! Now the greens aren’t going to deals with one nation but could there ever be a coming together of the Libs and the greens?
Elon Musk is back at the White House, this time he’s helping with war which is terrifying but musk has also said he’s very keen to rename Ai Si! But! Given Albo has obviously had some kind of influence over Ai content here in Australia we have a completely new name for Ai…it’s should be called? GIGO, garbage in and garbage out!
Speaking of garbage, Chris Bowen’s pre Cop31 conference that has cost Australian tax payers $20 million isn’t seeing too many world leaders attend. The lack of actual global leaders is so bad Bowen is now being accused of wasting tax payer money on an event no one wants to go to. Pauline Hanson has jumped at the chance to say she’d be cutting back on such ludicrous things in a cost of living crisis but does Bowen care? Ahhhhhhh no!
And finally former federal Liberal Party leader Susan Ley has made a return of sorts doing a brief interview. In her interview Ley has said under her leadership she wanted the Libs to be the sensible centre of politics and shift away from the Trump like leadership of Peter Dutton. Had the Libs not been a bunch of misogynistic dinosaurs Ley could’ve been much more successful but twas not to be and what do they have now? Another middle aged white man as leader…so much for equality.
