Editorial

Giggle v Tickle…what a win for the wokes, but let’s be clear here, if you have a dick OR if you’ve ever had one you’re a dude no matter what the courts say!

Where’s Wellsy? At the footy with the AFL boss! We’ll come back to her, but how good to see her again taking the piss out of the tax payer!

Hands up who else had a laugh at Pauline Hanson having a crack at Albo and his mum? I know Chris Bowen thinks it was appalling to have a go at someone’s Mum, but really if Albo tells us the story of growing up on council estate once more I’ll spew up! But the point Hanson was trying to make was we shouldn’t allow people to stay put on a council estate for decades like Albo’s Mum did. The idea is for people to be aspirational and while we do indeed need to support the most vulnerable people in our community with affordable housing we also need to encourage people who live on council estates the opportunity to get out!

While Hanson was having a crack at Albo she also slotted Liberal Party MP Andrew Hastie. Hanson recently slotted the man who was once a potential PM as a traitor for testifying against Ben Roberts Smith. When Hastie tried to counter she simply told him to chill. Future PM? Hanson maybe, Hastie not a chance in hell.

As much as we loved having the NFL in town how absolutely pathetic was Ben Carroll at the game? Social media posts that even included Benny trying to interview people to show how much of a regular guy he is…it didn’t work and Benny just looked like a bandwagon jumper.

Two massively different CEO’s have been in the news in the last few days. One the man who runs the NFL, Roger Goodell the other Nuno Matzos who runs ANZ. Goodell was of course in town for the Rams v 49ers and not only showed why the NFL is the greatest sporting organisation on the planet but also why he’s one of the best CEO’s in the world. Goodell was available for the media, was engaging, attended a 9/11 ceremony at the War Memorial and was in general a beacon of respect and appreciation for Melbourne, then there’s Nuno. Matzos runs a very different organisation to Goodell but while banking and sports are different both still have a customer base however only Goodell actually cares about customers, he doesn’t care at all about staff. 3500 staff members have lost their jobs since Nuno took over and talking to several ANZ staff members who wanted to remain anonymous the culture within the bank now is toxic. Nuno isn’t fussed about toxic the share price is up and who cares about culture, staff or customers if the share price is up?! Maybe Nuno could ask Roger Goodell what he thinks?

Begging in Melbourne! It’s now been decriminalised! It’s not so bad really because when we do head into head into a recession thanks to Albo at least we’ll all be able to beg outside treasury place to try and make a few bucks!

And finally the whole Sayers saga is now at an end, or is it? Didn’t Lukey sign a stat dec when talking to the AFL? But hey, who are we to judge the corporate elite of Melbourne!?
