Editorial
Well hello and welcome to today’s edition of the Hoodies Daily. I love the NFL being in town, but given my contempt for wankers and suits the absolute jerk fest going on around NFL boss Roger Goodell makes me wanna spew up. Yes I know the suits are part of the NFL machine and the NFL itself is a massive organisation but I just can’t stomach the sucks that have to be seen with the NFL boss. Regardless the whole NFL experience has taken Melbourne by storm and is a brilliant opportunity for Melbourne to show itself to the world. Seperate to the game itself the way in which both teams have arrived into Melbourne is a fascinating insight into sports science. The 49ers arriving last week to get onto Melbourne time and the Rams arriving early this morning planning to stay on LA time. The Rams plane flew at a lower altitude than a normal commercial flight with the players having lie flat beds on the chartered QANTAS A380. Let’s go 49ers!!
Back in the real world after Albo decided he wants to change how social media algorithms work guess what Labor did? They got a good portion of their female MP’s to tell their social media followers how they are abused online. Now that is an appalling thing to happen to anyone, but let’s not get sucked into Albo’s world of bullshit and spin, putting women out there as victims is, I’m sorry. A political tactic and really one labor should be ashamed of. Will they be ashamed? Errr no.
Speaking of Albo did anyone know he plays golf? Apparently the Marrickville golf club got itself a $6 million federal community infrastructure grant, why? Well I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact that the club is in Albo’s electorate nor would it have anything to do with the fact that the club made him an honorary member. Remember everyone, this is the bloke that wants to control algorithms in Australia…
How’s Mr Integrity going this week? Well his integrity isn’t looking to shiny given he’s not actually going to give IBAC any kind of retrospective powers…why is that? Well I’ll give you two guesses and both are ex Premiers. Separate to the utter bullshit Benny is now parading around the town the auditor general has come out and said while $350 million is a good start when it come sto fixing Victorian roads the real bill to fix all of them is closer to $6 billion. Now that’s a lot but we think benny should just ask Jacinta Allan where the $15 billion is and use that. Benny was out yesterday saying the Libs will cut 31,700 jobs out of the public service and how terrible they are for sacking people, but the reaction he had on social media wasn’t quite what he was hoping for, why? Because most people said 31,700 wasn’t enough!!
Kyle Sandilands has perhaps shown some of the real Kyle on his new radio show. He’s called a colleague a cunt on air and then reduced her to tears. Now we have no idea of how Kyle was at Kiss FM, but this isn’t a great look from a bloke that stands accused of bullying. Speaking of media people, where’s Karl Stefanovic gone? He’s not been seen on his podcast for a few weeks and there have been no updates on where things are at on his socials. It’s also interesting to note his advertising deal with Ringers Western came to an end in August. Has Karl ridden off into the sunset or will he be back bigger and better than ever? We shall see
And finally the Collingwood Football club has signed a collaboration deal with the 2026 super bowl Champions Seattle Seahawks. This is pretty brilliant from Craig Kelly and the magpies because as much as non collingwood fans enjoy seeing them lose they now become part of a super bowl winning franchise that has global reach. Shared promotional opportunities, sports science, training and general collaboration between the two teams is now something I think we can all look forward to.
That’s it for the editorial, thanks for reading and have a great day to all.
Cheers
Ben
