Editorial

Hello and welcome to today’s edition of the Hoodies Daily. To be part of the Hoodies community please head to our website http://www.hoodiesmedia.org pay your $49 and enjoy six issues a week of the Daily, the Hoodies Magazine, no spin, no agenda and no betting ads ever! Let’s get on with the Daily!

D’oh! Wrong shirt Albo! How pissed off did Albo look when he rolled into another meeting at the pacific yesterday with the wrong shirt?! Somewhere out the back there was a poor little staffer having a panic attack as Albo stormed off in search of the correct shirt. Leaving aside the issue of Albo looking like a petulant child why do we see our leaders pull on the local clothing? I get that it’s all about diplomacy but does Trump pull out the Hawaiian shirt? Putin? Xi? Not really, but given Albo is about as tough as wet cardboard someone better make sure he has the right shirt next time!

Is there life in the Liberal party after all? The Libs have decided that they’re going to cut the tobacco tax by up to 80% if they ever get into office again! Now of course the lefty health nuts have said that’s a ridiculous idea but is it? Even me, who loved smoking knows how bad it is for us so I quit and countless others think the same way, but what a reduction in tax means is less crime! I think we have to cut the tax and actually trust that a good portion of people know that smoking is bad for you.

There’s no doubt that One Nation are third wheel now in the Australian political landscape but while they’ve made remarkable inroads the Libs have got themselves back into the game. Amazingly the coalition are going up in the polls, now it does depend on which poll you look at but there are possible signs of life at Liberal Party HQ. The next question will be though, is Josh Frydenberg the come back King?

Working from home. Ok we all like it, we all think it’s great, but is it really a good thing for the actual company? Good god no! The issue apart from productivity for companies is that if state and federal governments do impose these new laws on businesses there will unquestionably be job losses, how can there not be? Governments need to be very very careful in how they handle working from home because while it’s a vote winner for the woke lefties for businesses it’s a cost cutting exercise that will have deep consequences for everyone.
