Well while people continue to jump on the band wagon of protesting across Australia one thing the masses are being sold at the moment in Victoria will unquestionably win votes but in the long run won’t do anyone any favours. What is it? It’s working from home…

Yes in the post Covid world of the new normal we were all sold five or so years ago Victorian premier, Jacinta Andrews, sorry, Allan is out telling people she’s going to make it law that the good folk of Victoria will have the right to work from home two days a week! How awesome is that?! Work from home two days a week in an era of Ai, cost cutting and labour cost cutting!

I mean it’s not like someone in India could do an office job cheaper than an Aussie based person or an Ai program couldn’t take away jobs from people who under the Allan plan would be at home two days a week. Don’t get me wrong, working from home is great, but if we ever want to see our CBD’s come back to life and people actually connecting one on one again then this plan is mental!

While a working from home ‘law’ will see employers say it’s time to cut back on wages it’s also the case that all of this is being sold to us under the guise of gender equality. So needless to say if you disagree with the Premier and her minions of bullshit then you’ll be cast as a 1950’s white male who thinks women should be chained to the sink and told what to wear.

Yes folks while we’d all love to work less and get paid more the reality is that making working from home a law we will only see jobs lost and people cast further aside for the sake of votes and power…but hey, enjoy those two days from home while you can and while you’re still getting paid for them!

Allan’s plan is typical Labor, all rainbows and unicorns, but scratch the surface and it fails the pub test, oh and if you disagree with them you’re obviously a racist homophobic gender equality hater! Obviously!
