Former State Liberal leader, John Pesutto, now seems on the verge of bankruptcy over his dealings with Moira Deeming having to fork out more than $2 million in legal costs. Now, don’t get me wrong here, the whole Deeming saga was an absolute blight on the Liberal Party but that the party is now quite literally throwing one of their own to the wolves is really just another indication of how broken the Liberal party is.

In another court case former SAS soldier Ben Roberts Smith has lost his appeal and you can’t help but ask do we now just send nice people to war? Yes there are standards of decency, but I’m not sure the Taliban would agree.

Over in the seat of Goldstein it appears that the race is narrowing again and Zoe Daniel could well win. It remains to be seen but you’d think it’s going to be some time before the battle between the Liberal and the trust fund finds its conclusion.

On tour in the UK Bruce Springsteen took it upon himself to hammer the Trump administration and while Bruce is unquestionably a poet of a generation he can sort of shove his political commentary. While Bruce may well be right about Trump Bruce is worth more than $500 million and while he has written songs of hardship and of pride in the US of A he’s perhaps a bit too far removed from the people doing it hardest to be the voice of a new generation?

Albo is off to Rome to hang out with the pope despite the fact he didn’t take the oath for PM on the bible, maybe he did a deal with someone else? And Zelenskyy is in Russia to hang out with Putin to maybe broker a peace deal?!
